Different Campaign Types

There are 3 types of Campaigns:

1. Keyword Campaign:

What: This campaign type is targeted to internet users based on keywords/phrases you specify. Your Ad is displayed when a user searches for your keyword or is browsing for content relevant to your keyword on any of our publisher sites.
When to use: When you want to attract targeted users. Your Ad will ONLY display for keywords which you specify.
Recommended for:

  • Small and Medium businesses.
  • Anyone with expertise on search engine marketing .

2. Run-of-network (RON) Campaign:

What: This campaign type is targeted to every user on the network irrespective of what the keyword is.
When to use: When you want high visibility or branding. Your Ad will display for every keyword and may tend to be irrelevant to your business.
Recommended for:

  • Only for advanced online marketers.
  • It is strongly recommended not to bid over $0.05 for this campaign type.
  • If you plan to use this campaign type, please use negative keywords to prevent your Ads from showing up for keywords which may be offensive to your business. Talk to your account manager or contact support for help on this campaign type.

3. Category Campaign:

What: This campaign type is targeted to internet users based on a business category you specify. You can select from a list of over 1,000 popular business categories which describe your business. Your Ad is displayed when a user searches for any keyword relevant to your category or is browsing for content relevant to your category on any of our publisher sites.
When to use: When you want to attract targeted users, but do not know what kind of keywords to use.
Recommended for:
  • Small and Medium businesses with little search marketing experience.
  • Novice online marketers.
